English singer-songwriter Paloma Faith has announced she is expecting her first child with her boyfriend of two years, Leyman Lahcine.
Paloma shared the happy news with fans on her official website, writing of her excitement about fulfilling a long-cherished dream.
“I am so delighted to tell you I am going to take a short while off to have a baby. I have spent my whole life wanting to be a mother and now the time has come for me to do so. I feel so lucky,” she wrote.

“I am nervous and excited about being a mum,” she continued, adding that pregnancy and motherhood “is a very personal thing”. She signed off with a promise to her fans that she would return “full of energy” next year.
The singer, who has also been serving as a judge on the UK version of The Voice, has been dating her French artist beau for two years and couldn’t help gushing about him during an interview earlier this year.
“We don’t argue. We are very similar characters. We respond to things in the same way and just talk about things,” she said, adding that she already thought of him as her husband.
“Leyman is my husband. You don’t need a marriage certificate. He’s part of my harem! There are seven of them,” she quipped.
