Bruce, 65, was part of a four-car crash in Malibu on Saturday. He was unhurt, but a woman in her 70s was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to USA Today, Bruce’s Cadillac Escalade rear-ended a Lexus sedan that had previously hit the back of a Toyota Prius. The Lexus then travelled into the path of oncoming traffic, where it crashed into a Hummer.
The driver of the Lexus was the woman killed in the crash. Police are still investigating the incident, but a police source told People the Toyota Prius (placed two cars in front of Bruce’s Cadillac) prompted the chain of events when it stopped for as yet unknown reasons.
While there were reports of paparazzi following Bruce in his vehicle at the time of the accident, the police have since confirmed they were not responsible for the crash.
