How cute! Queen Bey took to the stage to receive a very special award from hubby Jay and adorable Blue Ivy
It was a poignant moment for Beyonce, who has been plagued by rumours of an impending split from Jay Z for weeks.
However, it was all smiles (and a few happy tears) on stage today as she accepted the prestigious Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the MTV VMAs.
The award recognises an artist who has had a huge influence on music videos and MTV culture. Last year it went to Justin Timberlake, but this year was all about Bey.
Her extensive medley on-stage at this year’s VMAs proved (as if it were ever in doubt) her talents and capabilities as a performer, and the star was visibly moved as she accepted the award from her husband and daughter.
“I’m filled with so much gratitude,” Beyonce said to the eager crowd of fans and peers in the audience.
“I thank God for this moment. I love y’all so much.”
